Howdy Folks
Got to this one a couple days late, but late is better than never. It’s just been a hectic couple weeks since episode 239 with family visits and sickness, but I’m back at it now. I was sorting through a box I got from Paul S a few years ago and found a great stack of cajun stuff. I put most of them in the first set and then saved a couple for the after party. Also 10 of the records I played this week are yellow labels, it wasn’t planned but I thought it was kind of fun. The Story Of Susie is one I’ve played on the show many years ago and is one of the better known drug songs out there. The Sparta and Michigan Nickel Co singles stood out to me, as well as the two on Crazy Cajun Records.
Starting tomorrow I’ll be working on the next newsletter, if you didn’t read the first issue I recommend checking it out, I think it turned out great.
